• Outline your lips with lip liner: To apply lip liner, place the elbow of your right hand (if you are right-handed) on a flat and steady surface or on the palm of your other hand and trace quickly and lightly the shape of your lips. When you reach the corners of your mouth, fade the line out by drawing a lighter line. Or cover the entire mouth with lip liner so it plays the role of a lipstick's base.
• Using lip balancer: Now, fill in your lips with a special base or balancer to even out your skin tone. If your lips are of an even colour, use a face powder for a base.
• Fill up with lipstick: Now, apply lipstick using a brush as it can stabilize the color.
• Choosing the right color: While choosing a lipstick shade, you need to look at your skin color, hair color and shape of your lips. The thumb rule is as follows:
