Home Remedies For Beautiful Skin

For beautiful skin you need not visit beauty saloon or use expensive creams and lotions. A lot can be achieved by simply nurturing your skin at home.

Tips for Beautiful Skin:

Clean and clear: Clean skin is usually clear of blemishes and pimples. Twice a day, you must cleanse your skin using a mild natural cleanser that suits your skin type. Over cleaning can dry your skin, so don't go overboard! Clean once when you get up and once before you go to bed. Before sleeping wash and rub your skin with a coarse cloth or loofah to remove dead cells. The body breathes through the skin and throws out toxins at night. If the skin pores are clogged breakouts can occur. After cleaning, do you use a moisturizer even if you have an oily skin. Choose a water-based moisturizer if your skin gets clogged with oils.

Work at it: There is nothing as beneficial as an invigorating work-out in fresh air. Exercise oxygenates the skin and facilitates waste removal through the skin. Regular exercise also contributes to a rosy complexion.

Beauty sleep: 'Getting your beauty sleep' is not a hyped notion of divas. Your skin actually rejuvenates itself while you sleep. A good eight hour sleep is a 'doctor's prescription' if you want to look fresh and beautiful in the morning. Sleep deprived skin looks sallow, dull and tired and the eyes get puffy.

Sunshine in your skin: Vitamin D is an essential vitamin that is made from sunlight for our skin. It is necessary to get some exposure to sunlight unless otherwise indicated by your doctor. Several problems like eczema, psoriasis and acne can be treated by exposure to sunlight. The warmth of sunlight, in any case, makes you feel good and alive, lending shine to your skin.

Aqua therapy: Our body continually produces toxins that need to be pumped out through our excretory functions. Skin often works as an excretory organ by throwing out the wastes. However, a low water intake can impair this function causing eruptions on the skin. Hydrate your body with 8-12 glasses of water everyday and eat a healthy high fiber diet to help your skin remain healthy and glowing.

Other Tips:

  • Never squeeze your pimples as the skin will blemish and the bacteria will spread causing more pimples. Allow the pimples to air dry and flake off.
  • Don't use harsh cleansers that will rob your skin of the precious oils.
  • Don't scrub your skin as this will cause the skin to over-produce oil, clogging the pores.
  • Avoid getting chemicals like hair gel and sprays on your skin. They clog pores and can even harm the skin.
  • Avoid touching your face during the day as your fingertips touch a lot of surfaces and you may transfer the dirt and grime to your face.
